Why did I start Print Avenue

Hey thank you for stopping in I wanted to share with you why I started Print Avenue

For many years I enjoyed photography had my share of cameras and lens and worked my way up from film to Digital then semi Pro camera full frame sensors.

I really love photography and various styles types of photography including astrophotography, food, portraits, landscape you name it I was into it. Of course I had my group of friends to share discuss photography with and go on outings occasionally.

I realized that many people never printed or shared the work they do, beautiful images family memories sitting on hard drive or some computer memory chip. One day to be forgotten!

Sure we post on social media sometimes and it flashes up for a few moments then gone again until the next image comes up and we move on.

I always admired people who went the extra step and printed photography on paper or canvas photos displayed images have a magical quality of their own.

I have had the pleasure to photograph some interesting things and in particular people I always feel really good and connected when giving someone a print that I photographed of them be it portrait a casual snap or just family pics from events we shared together.

To me this was leaving something behind for future people to see perhaps long after I have moved on to greener pastures. Small way for me to carry my legacy forward. I gave a young women a beautiful image of her that I had taken from a photo shoot we did.

I know somehow that she will share that image with her great grandkids when she is 85 and say this was me way back in the day and maybe even remember the events surrounding when the photo was taken.  Beyond that far off into the future her relatives will look at that photo. In this small way my work will go on long past me existence.

It got me thinking that photos are great but a lot of other options exist now where a photo image can be incorporated in something different. So many people have smart phones and other devices that can take photos - or perhaps your children's special drawings or your own, a painting maybe. Smart phones and other devices have become really good and can be used to take wonderful images even if you're not an expert at photography.

Print Avenue was born as way to allow others including myself to create and  share our images with family and friends in new ways that are longer lasting than paper photos and a little extra special.

I ask that you join me in crossing the finish line with your own masterpieces and print them in some format and share them with those that matter.

T.
